DOF Cine Baseplate Kit

Zacuto’s DOF Cine kit is ideal for the cinematographer shooting with a DOF (depth of field) 35mm lens adapter such as a Letus35, Brevis, MovieTube, P+S Tecnik, and/or RedRock Micro, on a tripod, dolly or Steadicam. The DOF adapter allows you to use Nikon, Canon or Zeiss still lenses and achieve the same shallow DOF as a 35mm motion picture film. Zacuto was the first to design a camera package using rods behind the camera for mounting and counterbalance. The mount behind the camcorder holds batteries to power the monitor and accessories and provide a counterbalance to offset the weight of the camera, DOF adapter and accessories. The counterbalance weight can quickly slide along the rods to achieve a perfectly balanced camera rig. The Zamerican arm uses Zacuto Z-Release technology to quickly release the monitor or hard drive to make setup and location moves quick and easy. Attach your wireless microphone receiver to the plate in back and you are ready to shoot.
