DOF Filmmaker Baseplate Kit

Zacuto’s DOF Filmmaker Kit takes Zacuto’s DOF Indie Kit a step further by allowing the entire rig to be shoulder-mounted and perfectly balanced when shooting with a DOF 35mm lens adapter such as a Letus35, Brevis, MovieTube, P+S Tecnik, and/or RedRock. The DOF adapter allows you to use Nikon, Canon or Zeiss still lenses and achieve the same shallow DOF as a 35mm motion picture film The DOF Filmmaker includes all of the mounting equipment needed for the independent filmmaker –matte box away, follow focus, DOF adapter, wireless microphone receiver and external monitor. With the filmmaker kit, you can also make your pre-existing matte box a swing-away matte box. Zacuto was the first to design a camera package using rods behind the camera for mounting and counterbalance. The mount behind the camcorder holds batteries to power the monitor and accessories and provide a counterbalance to offset the weight of the camera, DOF adapter and accessories. The rig can be easily balanced with a few quick adjustments and gives any professional camcorder the stability of a larger shoulder mounted camera.
